CGA’s Indoor Air Quality division conducted the indoor air quality sampling on the new Pratt & Whitney NA2 Assembly Plant in Jupiter, Florida, for Hedrick Brothers Construction. CGA has worked on other LEED projects with Hedrick Brothers Construction throughout South Florida. This project was constructed under the LEED 3.2 standard, which is an important LEED certification credit for newly constructed or remodeled buildings. This certification’s intent is to reduce indoor air quality problems resulting from off-gassing of construction materials while promoting the comfort and well-being of its occupants. LEED IAQ 3.2 credit requires an IAQ Management Plan for the preoccupancy phase after construction is completed and immediately prior to occupancy. The plant had clean air and received its credit.
