CGA provided Emergency Management Services for Franklin County in response to the British Petroleum Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Contracted by the Board of County Commissioners to coordinate and provide oversight throughout the largest man-made natural disaster in history with the County Sheriff, Volunteer Fire Chiefs, EPA, Florida DEP, US Coast Guard, State of Florida EM, and BP. CGA led a task force chartered to create a County Coastline Protection Boom Plan, management of its deployment and ongoing monitoring/maintenance for preservation of the Aplachicola Bay’s precious ecological environment and economic resources which it provides to the Franklin County community.
