The CGA Landscape Architecture Department was contracted by AMP Residential property management group in February 2017 to provide landscape and signage designs for proposed improvements to an existing apartment and townhouse project in The totality of Tamarac, now called 72 West. These improvements included renovations to the main pool and clubhouse building, the existing entrance signs, and the streetscape frontage. CGA’s Landscape Architecture staff collaborated with GraphPlex Signs to create the designs for the new signage and landscaping improvements, which included a new fountain feature and paver walkways.
This project was separated into two phases. The first phase included the main pool area and clubhouse building, the landscape enhancements along the main roadway, N.W. 61st Street, and the entrance signs. These renovations were completed in January 2018, with a Grand Opening reception for their residents at the clubhouse held on January 24th. The total cost of the first phase was approximately $150,000.
The second phase consists of $125,000 of improvements which will include landscape buffers along the perimeter roadways, the areas around the buildings, the parking areas and walkways leading to the buildings, and the secondary pool area. This phase of the work is scheduled to begin in May and be completed by October 2018.
The property management team from AMP Residential was so pleased with the results of the renovations that they’ve contracted CGA’s Landscape Architecture Department team to work on another one of their properties in the Naples area, Amberton Luxury Townhomes. The scope of work will be similar to the work done in Tamarac and includes enhancements to the main entranceway and sign, main pool area and clubhouse/leasing office, new playground area, as well as the front entries into the buildings. CGA’s Landscape Architecture team has already started on the designs and the work for phase one of the Amberton project scheduled to begin in late 2018.
